Amazon allows brand owners to upload a user manual in a PDF file to the product detail page to help customers better understand the product before purchase or learn how to use it after purchase.
This feature serves two main purposes for you:
Reducing the likelihood of negative reviews due to improper use or misunderstanding of the product.
Enhancing product sales by providing more in-depth explanations.
For example, if you are selling a board game for kids and your product listing includes many cheerful images of children playing, along with benefits of the product to boost sales, you can add an additional image or text instructing customers to look for the "User Guide" below and provide further information.
When a customer clicks on that link to the PDF document at the bottom of the product page, you can use it to tell them more about the game and how to play it.
From a marketing perspective, if I read the game instructions and find them clear and engaging, you've essentially pulled me into the world of the game from there to the shopping cart.
To do this:
Go to "Inventory" on your Seller Central account.
Select "Manage Product Documents."
Make sure to read Amazon's guidelines on files to avoid potential issues, including what's allowed and what's not.
Have a great weekend!
