Customer Retention Campaign

If you have more than one product in the same niche, whether it's variations under one product page or multiple product pages, the most important and profitable campaign you need to set up is a Defense campaign.


The goal of the campaign is to strategically present each of your products on every product page... yours! Even if they are variations already on the sales page.


In essence, we prevent the customer from switching to competitors' products that are advertised within our product pages, leaving them with limited choices - either they choose a product on the same page or they choose another one of ours.


Either way, they stay with us.


Here's how you can set it up:

  1. Create a Product Targeting campaign.

  2. Set up an Ad Group for each of your products.

  3. Target only your own products in each group.

  4. Define a high placement at the "Top of search."

Take a look at the attached image for an example.


On the sales page, all product variations are available. However, when the customer scrolls down to the area of targeted products, they primarily see our products because we've effectively taken control of most of the available ad space.
